Today we mark the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
Alongside her beloved Prince Philip, whose legacy of the Duke of Edinburgh Award continues to help thousands of people across 130 countries, Her Late Majesty led the United Kingdom through some of the most challenging periods in modern times.
She was always steadfast in her duty. In Orpington, the bond between sovereign and citizen was reflected by the strength of tributes last year, and again as her son and heir was crowned as His Majesty King Charles III.
Her Late Majesty served our country and people with peerless devotion, and her example will remain an inspiration for future leaders to follow.
